This trunked radio system is part of a state-wide interoperability initiative. It was previously referred to as the Alabama First Responder Network (AFRN). When completed***, it will be possible for subscribers to communicate from one end of the state to the other on a handheld radio if the need arises. System ID: 00A WACN: 673AE is currently not in use for the Mobile and Washington County sites below.
All departments using a trunked system are on the Mobile County Communications District (MCCD) trunked system
